Do I have to commit to a long contract?
Depends on the service. Strategy and brand work is scoped per engagement — no ongoing commitment. Managed IT carries an initial 12 or 24-month term by tier (that's what makes the pricing work), and after the initial term everything runs month-to-month with 90 days' notice. Hosting & care plans are monthly, with two months free if you prepay the year. Whatever you choose, we put the terms in writing before you sign anything.
Do you only work with Santa Cruz County businesses?
It's our focus and our promise. We may take exceptions for South Bay clients or referrals from existing partners, but Santa Cruz is where we live, where we know the networks, and where we can show up in person when it matters.
What size businesses do you typically work with?
Most of our clients have between 2 and 100 employees and are doing real revenue — past the founder-doing-everything stage, not yet ready to hire a full in-house growth team. If you're outside that range we're still happy to chat; we'll just be honest about whether we're the right fit.
Can I hire you for just one service?
Absolutely. Plenty of clients start with one — a brand refresh, an IT migration, a strategy sprint — and grow into more over time. We won't push you to bundle, and we won't penalize you for staying narrow.
How fast can you start?
For most engagements, two to three weeks from signed agreement to kickoff. IT onboarding typically takes four to six weeks to fully stand up. Urgent situations — we'll do our best to flex.
Do you offer pro-bono or reduced-rate work for nonprofits?
Yes, in a limited way. We hold a small number of reduced-rate engagements each year for Santa Cruz County nonprofits and community organizations. Tell us about your work and we'll see what we can do.
